The most economical way to learn kayaking SAFELY AND EFFICIENTLY and progress from novice to expert. A great way to meet and socialize with other people who enjoy kayaking.

Use your own kayak or rent one – there is a limited number of kayaks available for rental (reservations required – either way !)

Schedule is tentative – time and location may be changed if necessary and all trips are subject to cancellation by weather conditions or lack of enrollment, so you should confirm and make reservations even if you have your own equipment.

Difficulty Levels

Unless otherwise noted – All trips are designed for beginners and No Experience is required.

Substantial experience is required and participation is ultimately at the discretion of Trip Leader.

What to wear: usually a bathing suit works best (this IS a watersport!) You can wear shorts and a t-shirt or a warm-up suit or windbreaker over it – depending on the weather. You will probably get a little wet. Wear either sandals or water shoes or old sneakers (not the ones you will drive home in). It’s always a good idea to have dry clothes in the car just in case you slip getting in or out of the boat!

What to bring: a water bottle (MANDATORY ), gloves ( if you blister easily), towel (leave it in the car), sunscreen, hat and insect repellant. You can bring lunch if you like, although a light snack and drink are provided.
